Chatbot Summit is proceeding as planned at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas May 13-15th, 2020!

With that said, we take the safety of our Chatbot Summit community very seriously and we are working very closely with our venue at the Mandalay Bay which is part of the MGM Resorts International and our partners to put into place additional health precautions in line with the guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.

At this time, we are amending our program, that will be close to the existing one, and limiting the number of attendees and exhibitors at the Summit. We are not permitting any attendance at Chatbot Summit by individuals from countries for which the CDC has assigned a travel health notice, which currently includes China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. These regions account for less than 5% of our total attendance, so we do not expect the event experience to be negatively impacted by these exclusions.

We have contacted MGM Resorts which Mandalay Bay is apart of and they are taking the following comprehensive steps to prepare for all potential health and safety risks and work to prepare our resorts for any potential impacts:

  • Venue & Event Cleanliness

    • Placing hand sanitizer dispensing stations in high-traffic, visible areas: entrances, exits, bathrooms, elevator landings, hotel lobby, showrooms, etc.

    • Reinforcing cleaning and disinfectant procedures

  • Accessible Health Professionals

  • Reviewing Communication hygiene and prevention guidelines from the Center of Disease Control and World Health Organization

  • Carefully monitoring and updating precautionary measures in line with the Center of Disease Control and World Health Organization.

What should you do to help?

We recommend that everyone attending Chatbot Summit follows the guidance provided by CDC and WHO. Some recommendations include the following:

  • Stay home if you feel unwell

  • Wash your hands frequently

  • Maintain social distancing

  • Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

  • Practice respiratory hygiene

  • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early

  • Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
