He has built various innovative products, both as a founder, but also as a contractor for Fortune 500 players in the finance and retail.

Through his experiences as a experienced founder and hands-on technologist, he brings a unique blend of technological and entrepreneurial expertise that enables him to formulate winning innovations. As a testament to his outspoken vision of technology, his latest company, Argus Labs (rebranded to Sentiance), has grown to be considered a global pioneer in ambient intelligence.

He is an outspoken and controversial figure in the field of cyber-security, where he has worked on multiple classified and high-profile domestic and foreign projects in the defense, intelligence and government industry.

He has been named as Belgium’s Top 50 Innovator and Top 50 Enterpreneur, and is a public speaker on technology and startups, at high profile conferences such as TEDx, Cannes Lions, Internet World, LeWeb, TheNextWeb and more.

Filip holds multiple patents in the field of profiling, and is an appointed EU expert on Horizon 2020. He is a mentor at Belgium’s largest incubator, Startit, where he coaches young startups that are active in the field of machine learning, cyber-security and SaaS business models.

He is politically active as an intermediary and advisor on various topics of artificial intelligence, privacy and ethics.

Currently he is the founder of Faction XYZ, an applied Artificial Intelligence company in Belgium, with offices in Antwerp. The company is specialized in natural language processing in the finance, utilities, telco, automotive and retail industries.
