Malte Kosub
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Parloa
Malte Kosub is co-founder and managing director of Parloa. The company was one of the first in Germany to work with Amazon’s Alexa; in fact, it was appointed by Amazon as the first “German Alexa champion”. Within his role in the company, Malte advises customers such as Vodafone, Allianz, ERGO, Bauer Media and Unilever on the topic of conversational experiences. In 2018 the company started to build an own dialog management system called Parloa, which enables companies to create better conversational experiences more efficiently. The product is used by companies like ERGO, Decathlon or Vodafone and helps their conversational teams to create compelling voice experiences. Due to the internal success of the tool it was rolled out to be available for every company in May 2019. Before founding Parloa, Malte previously founded the e-commerce startup “Wandnotiz”, which was then sold in early 2017 to a medium-sized printshop network. Beyond this, he brought to life the largest music competition for schools in Germany: “Talented”. He has received several awards for his outstanding voluntary work, including awards from the German ministry of economics and from the Hermann Ehlers Foundation. He is faculty member of the Future/io Institute as well as Kairos Society Fellow. Malte completed his economics degree at the University of Hamburg, at Harvard University, and at MIT.
Parloa is a Dialog Management System helping teams to create engaging conversations.
Chatbots and virtual assistants often deliver a sub-par experience, leading to frustrated customers - the opposite of the desired effect when it comes to automation.
Parloa solves a huge problem - the very slow process of bringing an idea for a conversation to a point that it can be tested. Designers can use a drag'n'drop UI to build a prototype in minutes, test it, and iterate before working with developers to release a fully fledged chat experience.
We have an agnostic principle of being able to work with any NLU and connect with any external service. By storing and managing conversations as agnostic code (JSON), and delivering it via API, Parloa can be the core of any Conversational Infrastructure our customers build.
Our focus is on enabling deep, complex, and personalised conversational experiences with a number of time-saving features for VUI designers (slots, dictionary/synonyms, conditional text snippets and more), and Enterprise features such as versioning, SaaS and On-Premise deployment, and multi-platform release management.
