Max Ahrens is the Co-Principal Investigator for the Alan Turing Institute Research Grant on Narrative Detection & Analysis. Maximilian is the founder and leader-organiser of the Conference on NLP for Social Data Science (NLP SoDaS). He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, specialising in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). Prior to his doctoral studies, Maximilian obtained an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University and an M.Sc. from the Barcelona School of Economics. He has previously worked with McKinsey & Company, the European Central Bank, and Man AHL.
